How Do I Remove/Uninstall SafariSort

Are you sure you want to delete SafariSort? Remember, as you add more bookmarks you will probably want to run SafariSort again and again in the future. Your loss; remove the following and SafariSort will be all gone.

1. Delete the "/Applications/SafariSort" folder.
2. Delete your "~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist.bak" backup.

You may also achieve the above by copying and pasting the complete line below into a Terminal window.

rm /Applications/SafariSort ~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist.bak

How Do I Restore My Backup Bookmarks

If for whatever reason you need to restore your bookmarks, simply delete the existing "Bookmarks.plist" file and rename the backup file "Bookmarks.plist.bak" to "Bookmarks.plist". These file are located in your "~/Library/Safari" folder. Keep in mind that any bookmarks added after you last ran SafariSort will not be include in your backup file.

Run SafariSort Silently (without prompt) at Startup

The following directions will enable you to run SafariSort at Startup without any prompts.

1. Open "System Preferences"
2. Select "Accounts"
   
3. Select "Login Items"
   
4. Click the "+" sign to add a new login item
   
5. Browse to "Applications/SafariSort/src/Modified/"
   
6. Select the "sortosaurus" file
   
7. Check the Hide option for the newly added "sortosaurus" login item added

NOTICE: This option does NOT create a backup file prior to sorting!

Nothing Happens - It's Broke

This is the most common reason there is an issue with the app. The SafariSort application must be kept whole and maintained in the Applications folder to run properly.
